Lagavulin 8 Year Old was originally released in 2016 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Lagavulin distillery. The reception was so strong that it became a permanent part of the core range.
It’s intentionally younger, sharper, and more intense than the iconic 16‑year, offering a bright, smoky, maritime profile inspired by Alfred Barnard’s 1880s tasting notes of an “exceptionally fine” 8‑year Lagavulin.
